Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University, (HNBUMU) is responsible for doing admission in professional medical courses. All the admissions will be on the basis of NEET UG 2023 Score.
If we talked about NEET UG 2023 it is scheduled by NTA on May 7,2023 (Sunday) and result will be declared by June 13,2023.

Last year NEET UG exam was conducted on July 17,2022(Sunday) and result was declared on September 7 ,2022.
Uttarakhand MBBS BDS admission 2022 mop up round counselling schedule
As soon as result will be declared MCC will start counselling for All India Quota level counselling. Just after that state Committee will conduct the Uttarakhand MBBS BDS 2023 counselling in the month of June ,2023. Only NEET UG 2023 qualifying applicants will be able to participate in the admission process.
There are almost 1125 MBBS ( including Govt. and private ) and 200 BDS seats in Uttarakhand .
Last year one Govt. Medical college (Soban Singh Jeena Govt. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Almora ) with 100 MBBS seats and one private medical college (Gautam Buddha Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya, Dehradun) with 150 MBBS seats got approval.
There will be three rounds of counselling in the Uttarakhand MBBS counselling 2023. Out of these three two will be in the online mode and mop-up round in the offline mode. To participate in Uttarakhand MBBS 2023 counselling applicants are supposed to apply the admission form and fulfil the eligibility criteria. There are total five medical college as on today.
Before the commencement of the counselling session, the authority will release the Uttarakhand MBBS merit list 2023, mentioning all the names of the eligible candidates. The merit list will be released and prepared on the basis of NEET 2023 scores.. To participate in the Uttarakhand MBBS counselling 2023, the aspirant must be included in the merit list.
MBBS Seats in Uttarakhand
Out of these 07 Medical colleges ,three 04 Government medical college,one AIIMS and remaining 02 are private. As a medical aspirants you must know that in Government college 15 % seats are reserved for All India quota and remaining 85 % seats are for state students. There are to total 625 seats in Government medical colleges, out of which 100 MBBS seats get approval last year. In private colleges there are 300 seats.

MBBS seats in India 2023
As per latest information , at the time of 2023-24 counselling there will be minimum 702 medical colleges with 107658 MBBS seats in India .If we compare with last year data this year there will be 8195 more MBBS seats.
Till now 50 new medical colleges gets approval for MBBS admission in coming session . Out of these 50 medical colleges 30 (Thirty ) are Govt. medical colleges while remaining 20 (Twenty ) are private/deemed medical colleges. If we talked about state wise distribution of these medical colleges ,highest 11 (eleven ) are in Telangana ,05 (five) each in Rajasthan & Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra 04( four) ,Assam, Gujarat, Haryana ,Karnataka , Tamil NAdu 03(three) each, West Bengal, Odisha , Jammu & Kashmir 02(each) and Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh , Nagaland 01(one)each.
As of now as per official website of NMC ( June 9,2023) there are 695 medical colleges in India . Out of these 695 medical colleges there are 383 Govt./Semi Govt. , AIIMS & Central Universities/ Instituitions , 51 are deemed Universities and remaining 261 are private medical colleges in various states/UT’s of India. If we talked about number of MBBS seats ,till now there are 106333 MBBS seats (55468 in Govt. /Semi Govt. Instituitions & 50865 in private/Deemed medical colleges across India).

Uttarakhand MBBS 2023 Seat Allotment
The allotment of seats for Uttarakhand MBBS 2023 will be published for each round separately. However, the merit rank of the applicants and choices filled by them will be taken into account for making seat allotments. Applicants who have been allotted college in first round can also go for next round of counselling for up gradation. Please verify the same before participating in the counselling .In case there is no up gradation, applicants earlier round seat will be remains safe.
