West Bengal MBBS BDS admission 2023 | West Bengal MBBS counselling 2023
Department of Health & Family Welfare, Kolkata, is responsible for conducting counselling for medical professional courses in West Bengal . The admission committee will publish the application form for West Bengal MBBS 2023 in the month of June, 2023. This will be done after declaration of NEET UG 2023 result, which is likely to be declared in May end,2023. As far as NEET UG 2022 examination is concerned ,it was conducted on July 17 ( Sunday).
If we talked about NEET UG 2023 it is scheduled by NTA on May 7,2023 (Sunday) and result will be declared in May month End.

West Bengal MBBS BDS admission 2022 mop up stray vacancy round schedule
Admission committee will give admission on the basis of marks secured in NEET UG 2023. Applicants are supposed to qualify the NEET UG 2023 common entrance test by securing the minimum NEET UG cut off percentile. In the end of this article we have mentioned about the last three year NEET UG Exam cut off. You can get an idea how many marks are required to get admission in Govt. and private medical colleges of West Bengal.

Last year (2022) four (04) new Govt. medical colleges has been added with 100 MBBS seats each,details is as mentioned below:

Last year one new medical college(Santi Niketan Medical College, Bolpur, West Bengal) got permission for MBBS admission with 150 seats.
To get admission in any of the medical college ,applicants are supposed to do registration online by applying the admission form. After filling the application form applicants are supposed to visit the nodal center for physical document verification. Next process after successful document verification will be online publication of state merit list 2023 .After this only eligible candidates will be able to do online counselling which can be done by entering the choices of colleges and then college will be allotted. Successful candidates have to allotted college with in given time.
You must know that in most of the state first two round of counselling is in online mode. If some seat remains vacant then mop-up round of counselling is done . Even after it any seat is vacant it can be filled through stray vacancy round of counselling. You are advised to read the article till end if you want to take admission in West Bengal.
Medical aspirants can get an idea about minimum marks required to get admission in Govt./private college of the state by looking at the previous years of cut off .As you know admission in Govt. medical college can be taken either through all India Quota and state quota .

West Bengal MBBS 2023 admission Eligibility criteria
Some of the most common eligibility criteria of the state is minimum and maximum age limit, qualifying the NEET UG 2023 exam and the marks required in 10+2.These factors can be verified from the list given below:

Nationality: Only Indian national applicants are eligible to participate

Age limit: Applicants must be a minimum of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2023. The decision for the maximum age limit is still pending in the Supreme court. So, after the decision the maximum age limit will be decided. Visit the official website to verify the same.

Minimum marks in Qualifying Exam: Medical applicants need to qualify his/her class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English by getting minimum 50% aggregate marks in all these subjects. Applicants can check the category wise minimum percentage of marks required to qualify the 10+2 exam .

Domicile requirements West Bengal
For West Bengal MBBS admission 2023, applicants will have to fulfill one of the following mentioned conditions.

Proforma a1 – all those candidates who are staying must have been living in the state of West Bengal for at least 10 years continuously as on December 31, 2023.

a2 Proforma – The applicants has been living in the state of West Bengal for a minimum 10 years continuously as on December 31, 2010 , and has passed/is appearing in 10+2 exam in 2023.

Proforma b – candidates who is not a resident of the West Bengal, but their parent (s) is/are permanent resident of the state with having a permanent resident address in the state for the last 10 years as on December 31, 2023.

West Bengal NEET admission form 2023
To get admission in any of the state applicants are supposed to do registration by applying the admission form. After filling the application form applicants are supposed to visit the nodal center for physical document verification. Next process after successful document verification will be online publication of state merit list 2023 .After this only eligible candidates will be able to do online counselling which can be done by entering the choices of colleges and then college will be allotted.
All applicants are supposed to do the following steps to get admission. These steps are -do online registration, filling of admission form, uploading of required documents, declaration form and application fee deposition. It is compulsory for applicants to apply the admission form otherwise they will not be considered for the West Bengal MBBS admission 2023.

West Bengal NEET UG merit list 2023
The admission committee will publish the state merit list . There will be two different merit list. One will be for state quota and other is for private management quota seats. The state merit list will includes important data of the applicants like the name of the applicant, NEET UG 2023 score, state domicile, reservation category, and status of PC. Only these applicants be able to do online counselling and take admission on the basis of their NEET UG score.
