Himachal Pradesh MBBS BDS Admission Process 2025 | Himachal Pradesh MBBS BDS cut off 2024

As per latest information from official website of NMC ,  there are 779 medical colleges with 117975 MBBS seats in India .If we compare with last year data this year there will be 15000 more MBBS seats at the time of counselling. Last year 53 new medical colleges gets approval for MBBS admission for session 2023-24. Out of these 53 new medical colleges 31(Thirty one) were Government and 22 (Twenty Two) were deemed/private medical colleges. If we check state wise new medical colleges ,highest 12 (Twelve) were in Telangana ,05 (five) each in Rajasthan ,Andhra Pradesh , Maharashtra ,04 (Four ) in Gujarat ,03 (Three) each in Assam, Haryana ,Karnataka , Tamil Nadu , 02 (Two) in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha , J & K  and 01 (one) each in Uttar Pradesh and Nagaland .

NEET UG 2025 exam Schedule by NTA

As per notification of NTA ,this year NEET UG 2025 will be conducted on May 4 , 2025 (Sunday) and result will be declared before June 14 , 2025 after that state will release merit list for MBBS BDS and other profession courses admission 2025. In Govt. medical colleges  15% of total seats are reserved for All India Quota  and counselling for these seats are conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).  For the remaining 85 % seats of Govt. colleges and 100% seats of private medical colleges(if any) counselling will be conducted by state authority. If we go through the official website data we find that 8420 MBBS seats are already updated on official website of NMC for coming session. Good news is that last year, 02 ( Two) new medical colleges were proposed in state.

Himachal Pradesh MBBS BDS Admission Process 2025: Eligibility criteria

Before filling the admission form for HP MBBS admission 2025, all applicants are supposed to read the prospectus carefully. There are certain parameters which is to be followed to get admission. It is advised for aspirants to go through all the criteria for eligibility. Eligibility criteria are a set of conditions for aspirants to be eligible or not for HP MBBS admission 2024.

• Only citizen of India can participate in counselling

• applicant seeking admission in  HP MBBS course must have domicile of HP

• applicants must possess a minimum of 17 years age as on December 31, 2025.

• The decision for maximum age limit to be eligible for HP MBBS admission 2025 is still pending in supreme court. Visit official website to see the complete details.

• although For HP NEET 2025 admission (Govt colleges 85 % seats), aspirants must be a Himachali bonafide.

• yet it is not necessary to be bonafide domicile for aspirants seeking admission of HP NEET through management quota seats in Private college/Univeristy -MMU Solan.

• in addition to this Aspirants who are bonafide residents of Himachal state but their parents are posted outside the state for any of the All India Services are eligible for HP MBBS admission 2025.

• The children of bonafide Himachalis who have passed at least two exams (out of middle or equivalent/matric or equivalent/10+1 or equivalent/10+2 or equivalent) from the recognized schools or colleges situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh and affiliated to ICSE/CBSE/HPBOSE or equivalent Boards/Universities established by law in India. Provided that the bonafide Himachalis students who are admitted to Navodya Schools situated in Himachal Pradesh and who have passed matric or +2 examinations under the exchange programme from other Navodya Schools in the Country shall also be eligible for admission to the above courses..

• Students belonging to general category must have to obtain 50% marks in aggregate of all compulsory Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects whereas it is 40% for SC/ST and OBC aspirants.

• as we have told earlier in this article that it is mandatory for medical aspirants to qualify NEET UG 2025 with minimum percentile.
