The Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry is the competent authorized for conducting the common counselling related to Puducherry medical admissions like MBBS and BDS course . Committee will release the Puducherry online application form for MBBS/BDS admission on its official website. Eligible candidates can apply the Puducherry NEET UG application form 2024 by paying the fee after clearing NEET UG Examination 2024.

As per latest information , at the time of 2024-25 counselling there will be around 818 medical colleges with 123445 MBBS seats*( expected) in India .If we compare with last year data this year there will be 15000 more MBBS seats.

Last year 53 new medical colleges gets approval for MBBS admission for session 2023-24. Out of these 53 new medical colleges 31(Thirty one) were Government and 22 (Twenty Two) were deemed/private medical colleges.
If we check state wise new medical colleges ,highest 12 (Twelve) were in Telangana ,05 (five) each in Rajasthan ,Andhra Pradesh ,amp; Maharashtra ,04 (Four ) in Gujarat ,03 (Three) each in Assam, Haryana ,Karnataka , Tamil Nadu , 02 (Two) in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha , J,amp; K and 01 (one) each in Uttar Pradesh ,amp; Nagaland .
As of now, as per official website of NMC ( March 21,2024) there are 706 medical colleges in India . Out of these 706 medical colleges there are 389 Govt./Semi Govt. , AIIMS ,amp; Central Universities/ Instituitions , 52 are deemed Universities and remaining 265 are private medical colleges in various states/UT’s of India. If we talked about number of MBBS seats ,till now there are 109145 MBBS seats (57330 in Govt. /Semi Govt. Instituitions and 51815 in private/Deemed medical colleges across India.
If we go through the official website data we find that 8420 MBBS seats are already updated on official website of NMC for coming session .

Puducherry MBBS/BDS admission 2024 – Eligibility criteria
All the applicants who are looking for admission in MBBS or BDS course in Puducherry UT must fulfil the criteria of eligibility. The Puducherry UT for MBBS/BDS course eligibility criteria is as follows.

applicant must have cleared 10+2 examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of the state/UT or any other equivalent exam.
-
candidate have to qualify 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% of marks for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST aspirants) in aggregate, in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology and English. He/She must have passed each subject individually also.

English is also compulsory in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Biology .

The medical aspirants must be an Indian national.

Non-Resident Indian (NRI) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are also eligible for admission in MBBS/BDS course

Applicants should be at least 17 years old at the end of year of admission.

Puducherry MBBS/BDS admission – Eligibility for management quota
Applicants who have qualified in NEET UG 2024 can apply for management or NRI seats. There is no restriction like domicile or residence criteria for management and NRI quota seat. So, applicants from other states can also apply for the management /NRI quota seat if they are ready to pay management quota fee .
Puducherry MBBS BDS Admission Application form
CENTAC will release the Puducherry NEET UG 2024 application form in online mode from month of June/ July,2024 for all eligible Candidates after declaration of NEET UG 2024 result which is expected by June 14 ,2024.
Applicants are supposed to apply for the same by entering his/her personal, academic, and contact information. Candidates are also supposed to enter his/her NEET UG 2024 details.
They are supposed to upload scanned images of colored photograph between 20 to 25 KB in JPG format only. Application form will be submitted successfully only after depositing the form fee.

Puducherry MBBS/BDS merit list 2024
The counselling committee will release the updated merit list for Puducherry NEET 2024 admission for different types of seats. The criteria for preparing the Merit List for Puducherry NEET admission 2024 will be prepared on the basis of SCORE (All India Rank) in the NEET-UG 2024.
The counselling committee, CENTAC will release the Puducherry NEET 2024 merit list .If there is any object then write a mail .Then final merit list for Puducherry MBBS admission 2024 will be published after considering the objections of the medical aspirants if any.
Puducherry NEET UG counselling 2024
Committee will conduct the Puducherry NEET UG 2024 Counselling in online mode. Candidates who have paid the application fee within the specified period of time will be allowed to fill their choice of courses and colleges during the Puducherry NEET UG 2024 counselling. Based on their merit, committee will allot the seats for Puducherry MBBS/BDS admission 2024.
Candidates are supposed to report the allotted college and deposit the college fee along with original fee. In addition to this student have to submit provisional allotment order( which can be downloaded from official website ).
