As there is only one private medical college in Tripura, so non domicile candidates can take seat through state quota as well as All India Quota counselling.

Tripura MBBS Admission counselling 2024
As far as MBBS admission is concerned ,The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura is authorized to do counselling and admissions in Tripura. Admission will be on the basis of NEET UG 2024. The DME will commence the Tripura MBBS admission 2024 by publishing the application form along with the prospectus. This facility will be available online after declaration of NEET UG 2024 result which is expected by May month end,2024. Only those candidates will be able to fill application form who will qualify NEET UG examination. After the completion of the registration process of Tripura NEET UG 2024, state merit list will be released .In Govt. medical colleges 15% of total seats are reserved for All India Quota and counselling for these seats are conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). For the remaining 85 % seats of Govt. colleges and 100% seats of private medical colleges(if any) counselling will be conducted by state authority.
There is 01 GMC in Tripura state, in which there are 125 Government MBBS seats. In Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, 13 seats MBBS and 07 Seats BDS are reserved for Tripura state candidates. There is one (01) Private Medical College, in which there are 100 MBBS seats. It is an open state, means candidates from other states can take admission in 20 private MBBS seats of Private Medical Colleges in which category wise seats are reserved and only candidates of Tripura state can take admission in 80 MBBS seats in this Private Medical College.

All medical aspirants are supposed to check the eligibility criteria before taking part in Tripura MBBS counselling 2022. Some of the important parameters are mentioned here.

The medical aspirants must qualify NEET UG 2024

He/She must be a citizen of India.

The minimum age of the applicant must be 17 years as on 31 December 2024

Each candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent standard with English, Physics, Chemistry , Biology.

To get benefit of state domicile candidate must have studied from class 7th to 12th from the schools of Tripura state.

Applicant have to be medically fit at the time of admission .

Student must score 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (in case of General category) and 50% in the same for the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC).

Domicile benefit will be given to only those students whose parents are residing in Tripura state for at least 20 years.
