USMLE Exam 2021 – The USMLE is a three-Step examination for medical licensure in the United States. It is sponsored by the FSMB and the NBME. The USMLE program supports medical licensing authorities and physicians in the United States through development, delivery, and continual improvement of high-quality assessments across the continuum of physicians’ preparation for practice.

Question: How many phases are there to clear USMLE Entrance ?
Ans: Basically USMLE consist of steps include –
- Step 1,
- Step 2 CK,
- Step 2 CS, and
- Step 3.
Step 2 consist of two different components – Clinical Knowledge (CK) and Clinical Skills (CS).
Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS of the USMLE can be taken in any sequence, provided the candidate meets the eligibility criteria. However, Step 3 can be taken only after passing Step 1 and Step 2 components.
Question: USMLE 2021 Entrance is online or offline?
Ans: All the steps of USMLE 2021 Entrance examination will be conducted online in computer-based mode except Step 2 CS. Only Step 2 CS component will be offline-based and there are only six Examination centers in the US.

USMLE 2020 Exam Pattern: Aim, Pattern, and Exam Duration
USMLE Result 2021
NBME will declare the results after conducting of all Steps and Step Components of USMLE 2021. Authority will also issue score cards. When Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS score reports are available, ECFMG will send an e-mail notification to Foreign medical applicants.
USMLE 2021 score reports will be available online also and can be accessed using ECFMG’s .
The result of USMLE 2021 for Steps 1, 2 CK and Step 3 is declared typically within a month after the test date.
USMLE 2021 results for Step 2 CS will be available as per Step 2 CS schedule for Reporting Results, which will be uploaded on the USMLE and ECFMG websites.
USMLE scoring system and qualifying status
The applicant is supposed to score minimum mark in the respective Step or Step Component to be considered pass. Here is the complete details of the minimum marks given below.

Ans: As of now the minimum qualifying marks are as follows:
Step 1: 194
Step 2: CK: 209
Step 3: 196
We want to make it clear that Step 1 is just similar to NEET PG of India where qualifying marks does not guarantee for admission in PG course. To get admission in good branch your score must be more than 230 in USMLE.
Once you clear the step 1,Step 2 CS is very simple and you are just supposed to clear it with minimum marks.
