JIPMER MD/MS Final counselling Notice – January 2020 Session

As you know that Jawahar Lal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), has released an official notice regarding the final round of counselling.

Registration for the same will be conducted on February 5, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Counselling will start from 2:00 PM onwards.

Earlier, the authority released a notice on December 31, 2019, regarding the JIPMER PG second round of counselling which was conducted on January 8, 2020. The first round of counselling for JIPMER PG 2020 was conducted on December 27, 2019.

Puducherry had released the individual rank letter of JIPMER PG January session 2020 on December 18, 2019. JIPMER PG 2020 for January session was successfully conducted in computer-based mode on December 8, 2019.

The authorities announced the result of JIPMER PG 2020, along with cutoff on December 17, 2019, for January session.

As many as 1007 candidates were shortlisted for JIPMER PG counselling round one, which was conducted on December 27.

A link to download the overall and category-wise JIPMER PG merit list is provided below. The authorities had released the hall ticket for the January session of JIPMER PG 2020 on November 13, 2019.

Candidates were required to download the same till the date of the exam. The authorities commenced the online registration process on September 18, 2019 which lasted till October 25, 2019.

Along with the application form, the prospectus for the January session had been released.

Through an official notification, the authority had informed that the seat reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will not be considered applicable for JIPMER PG 2020 January session due to the order of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

JIPMER PG admission Counselling 2020

The counselling for JIPMER PG January session conducts in three rounds which will be followed by a final round. This time, the authority has released a notice regarding the final round of counselling right after the completion of the second round. The final round of counselling will be conducted on February 5, 2020. JIPMER PG counselling 2020 is conducted to fill around 150 medical seats of JIPMER, Puducherry. The counselling of JIPMER PG 2020 was conducted on December 27, 2019. A notice has been released by JIPMER on Janauary 24, 2019, stating that the final round of counselling will be held on February 5, 2020 from 2 pm, while the registration will start from 8 AM Onwards. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will have to appear for the counselling of JIPMER PG, which will be conducted offline on the below-given venue.

JIPMER PG Counselling 2020 involves a number of steps as mentioned below:

1. Registration – Candidates have to first get themselves registered for counselling. Only those aspirants whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible to sit for counselling

2. Biometric fingerprint/Photo verification – On the day of counselling candidates’ biometric fingerprint and image/photo verification will be done. If the same do not match then the candidature of those candidates will be cancelled and if need be legal action will be taken against them

3. Certificate verification – Candidates have to submit their required certificates in original as well as a self-attested copy of the same. The authority will retain the original certificates of candidates and return it only after completion of course or if relieved in mid-way

4. Counselling – Candidates who complete the steps above will be eligible for counselling. Physical presence of candidates at the counselling venue is mandatory otherwise they will be marked absent

JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria of JIPMER PG 2020 is given below. Only candidates who fulfill them will be considered eligible for admission.

• Candidates should possess an MBBS degree from an institution that is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)

• They must have completed the rotatory internship of twelve months before December 31, 2019.
