Kazakh National Medical University (KNMU) is one of the oldest best medical universities of Kazakhstan. If we talked about its establishment ,it was established in the year 1930 in Almaty city, which was earlier capital of Kazakhstan.This college is now 90 years old.

As far as population of Almaty is concerned ,it about 18,63,800 as per 2019 record. It offers top quality of education with good academic results, that is the reason it attracts students from all over the world.Good thing is that now this university is classified as the national university from the year 2001.

At present, there are more 10,000 students studying there and number of faculty members are more than 1600 . The faculty members comprises of more than 600 in the field of science, over 250 doctors of science, 150 professors, and 16 laureates of State prizes.

Facility

If we have a look on the facility available at  KNMU, it’s residence hall is having space capacity of more than 2250 students, accommodated in sharing. If we talked about it’s hostel it is having 2, 3, 4- seater standard fully furnished rooms that are equipped with all the basic requirements which makes the life of students easier and comfortable . In addition to this the students are offered other facilities like good Computer Labs, Canteen, gym, Kitchen, Laundry room, Digital Library, Reading rooms, re-creation room,big conference hall, Study rooms on each floor which are equipped with good speed Wi-Fi internet access. In addition to this university is having large size of  Sports complex  where students can enjoy basketball, jogging, swimming, judo, volleyball, wrestling, etc.

Climate: If we talked about the climate of Kazakhstan and specially Almaty ,it is having good climates as compared to any other region of Kazakhstan. As city of Almaty has a mountainous terrain and also surrounded by valleys. This provides a humid continental type of climate to the Almaty region. This climate makes an easy survival for peoples staying in this city. The annual average air temperature is approximately 12 °C in Almaty. December and January are the coldest month where the average temperature goes around  -5 °C. Similarly June and July are the warmest month with an average temperature of 25 °C. Winters start from October till April with December and January months as comparatively colder. Summers are hot where the average temperature ranges from 30-32 °C. April , May are the wettest months of Kazakhstan.

Traveling to Almaty:

By Air: The Almaty International Airport is located merely  at a distance of approximately 14-16 kms from the city center. The international airport also caters to some domestic flights. The airport has good connectivity with flights from different parts of the world. The bus and trains are also easily available as a means of local transport to travel within the city and rest part of Kazakhstan.

If we talked about travel time from India to Kazakhstan ,it normally took 3.30 hours to 3.45 hrs.
