NEET UG 2022 :Know about MBBS seats Cut off Marks 2021 : As per the latest notification NEET UG 2022 examination is scheduled on July 17,2022( Sunday) .As far as NEET UG 2022 result is concerned it may be declared by August 14,2022.
Last year in 2021 NEET UG entrance exam was held on September 12th and result was declared on November 1,2021.

If we talked about NEET ,it is one of the most competitive exam in India in which more than 16.15 lakh students registered themselves and due to high competition and comparatively less number of MBBS seats ,students must secure good score to get admission in Government colleges through state quota or MCC All India Counselling.

Minimum marks required in NEET UG for MBBS Admission
There are total of 303 Government medical colleges in India that offer around 45000 MBBS seats. And 303 Private medical colleges out of which there are more than 49 are affiliated to deemed medical universities.
These combined 606 medical colleges are having 92065 MBBS seats. But good thing is that more medical colleges are to be added before counselling and there will be around 620 medical colleges for MBBS course in India session 2022-23.

As per the last year’s result of NEET-UG 2021, General category (also called as an unreserved category) aspirants need minimum 138 marks (50 percentile).
On the other hand, UR-PH (Unreserved – Physical Handicapped) requires 129 marks(45 percentile) and SC/OBC/ST needs 113 marks (40 percentile).
For those who don’t know what is the percentile?
Percentile used in NEET to determine students rankings. For example, 50 percentile means you must scores higher more than 50% of students appeared in NEET.
It is assumed for previous cutoffs, for getting admission in Govt. medical colleges under an unreserved category or general, students have to get minimum 520 to 600 marks depending on states.
And to get admission in the Good Private Medical college you need to score 350 marks in NEET UG. This is for general category students.
But for SC category students, they have to secure between 113 to 129 marks for eligible to get admission. (in year 2020)
Whereas, OBC category students also need 40 percentile score in NEET to get MBBS admission they need more than 113 to 146 minimum marks. This is based on last year(2020) cut-off.

Total MBBS Seats in India (2021 Updated)
Here are Total medical colleges in India with their Seat distribution details.
As per official website of National Medical commission ,Total number of the medical college offering MBBS in India= 606
Number of MBBS seats in these 606 Medical colleges = 92065 (As on 06.4.2022)
In which, the total number of Government medical colleges is 303 (Approx)
Number of Private medical colleges= 254
Private Deemed Universities= 49
Central Universities/College= 03+02
Number of AIIMS in India= 20
But in actual total medical colleges are around 595 including all combined medical colleges in India.
And If we talk about the number of total MBBS seats in all the above Private medical colleges, Government medical colleges and Deemed medical colleges it is as given below:
The total number of MBBS SEATS in Government medical colleges is 45000 (Approx)
Number of MBBS SEATS in Private medical colleges= 38265 (Approx)
Private and Central MBBS SEATS in Deemed Universities= 8800(Approx)

NEET UG Cutoff 2021
Eligible Candidates can only appear in NEET counselling and seat allocation process if they meet NEET 2021 cut off.
As I already said above the qualifying criteria is 50 percentile for Unreserved (General) category, 45 percentile for UR-PH and 40 percentile for SC/OBC/ST students.

What is Tie-breaking Criteria
Tie-breaking criteria are applied when two or more candidates obtain the same NEET scores. But who will eligible for the merit.
Suppose, Ravi and Tejas got same marks so in this case Tie-breaking criteria will be applied.
In such cases, Following mentioned criteria are followed:
- Biology marks: Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the exam will be preferred in NEET 2020 result.
- Chemistry marks: If the ‘Biology marks’ criteria fail, Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry will be preferred.
- Less incorrect marks: If the above two tactics are followed and the tie still persists, Candidates with less number of attempted wrong answers in all the subjects will be given a higher order of merit.
- If all the above criteria fail, the candidate who is older in age will be considered over others.
