BDS without NEET UG
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a professional undergraduate degree in dentistry. The scope of BDS is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to become licensed dental practitioners who can diagnose and treat dental and oral health problems in patients.
The course typically covers a wide range of subjects including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, dental materials, preventive and community dentistry, oral pathology and microbiology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and endodontics.
The scope of BDS includes the ability to perform dental procedures such as tooth extraction, filling, root canal treatment, and prosthesis placement. Additionally, BDS graduates are trained to diagnose and treat conditions such as gum disease, oral cancer, and other oral health problems.
After completing a BDS degree, graduates can pursue further specialization in various fields such as orthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and prosthodontics through postgraduate courses. They can also work in private practice, government hospitals, or dental clinics, or pursue careers in dental research or academics.
Overall, the scope of BDS is vast, and it offers a range of opportunities for individuals who wish to pursue a career in dentistry and make a positive impact on the oral health of people.
As all of you know that now a days NEET UG is the only entrance exam if any one is looking for MBBS ,BAMS ,BAMS ,BHMS,BUMS and some other medical courses.
Earlier there was separate entrance exam for AIIMS and JIPMER .So the good thing is that you can get admission in any of the medical college (AIIMS, JIPMER, Central University, Deemed University ,private University or private medical college ) by just cracking NEET UG.

- All India Level counseling
- State counselling

Revised Reduced Cut off for BDS admission 2020
Based on the Qualifying Criteria, the Marks Range and No of Candidates qualified in each category (General/ EWS/SC/ST/ OBC and PwD of General/EWS SC/ST/ OBC), as provided by National Testing Agency is as follows:
In view of the above, another Stray Vacancy Round is scheduled to be conducted from 12.02.2021 to 18.02.2021 for which such Candidates will have to register on the MCC portal (www.mcc.nic.in) to participate in the said round of Counselling for BDS after paying the requisite Counselling fees and the Candidates who are already register do not have to register again. The Provisional Schedule is attached for ready reference.
The list of the registered Candidates will be forwarded to the Colleges who shall then conduct the Counselling at their own end.
BDS admission without NEET
As per a popular Hindi News paper “Candidates who failed in NEET 2020 will also be able to take admission in BDS, Supreme Court ruled.”
According to this news even medical aspirants who are not able to get qualifying marks in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) Undergrauate Examination can now also get admission to become BDS i.e. dentist.
As per this latest decision of the Honorable Supreme Court, now even the students who have failed in NEET UG can take admission in medical BDS course.
Actually, the court has decided this due to the vacancy of BDS seats in many medical colleges.
