As per latest information from official website of NMC ,  there are 779 medical colleges with 117975 MBBS seats in India .If we compare with last year data this year there will be 15000 more MBBS seats at the time of counselling. Last year 53 new medical colleges gets approval for MBBS admission for session 2023-24. Out of these 53 new medical colleges 31(Thirty one) were Government and 22 (Twenty Two) were deemed/private medical colleges. If we check state wise new medical colleges ,highest 12 (Twelve) were in Telangana ,05 (five) each in Rajasthan ,Andhra Pradesh , Maharashtra ,04 (Four ) in Gujarat ,03 (Three) each in Assam, Haryana ,Karnataka , Tamil Nadu , 02 (Two) in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha , J & K  and 01 (one) each in Uttar Pradesh and Nagaland .

As per notification of NTA ,this year NEET UG 2025 will be conducted on May 4 , 2025 (Sunday) and result will be declared before June 14 , 2025 after that state will release merit list for MBBS BDS and other profession courses admission 2025. In Govt. medical colleges  15% of total seats are reserved for All India Quota  and counselling for these seats are conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).  For the remaining 85 % seats of Govt. colleges and 100% seats of private medical colleges(if any) counselling will be conducted by state authority. If we go through the official website data we find that 8420 MBBS seats are already updated on official website of NMC for coming session.

Good news is that last year, 02 ( Two) new medical colleges were proposed in state.

Chhattisgarh MBBS 2025 admission – Eligibility criteria

All of your are supposed to go through the read the state counselling prospectus carefully .First of all you must know the admission eligibility criteria of the state .Some most important points are discussed here for your reference.

• All applicants looking admission in  MBBS and BDS  admission in Chhattisgarh must be Indian citizen.

•  Medical aspirant  must not be less than 17 years old on or before December 31, 2025.To see the details verify from the official website of MCC.

• All medical aspirants  who have cleared their class 10+2 examination from Chhattisgarh board or any other board which is recognized by Chhattisgarh government can apply in the state. These applicants  have done 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as their core subjects.

• The domicile criteria  for the state which help in getting admission in Govt. medical colleges of  Chhattisgarh in MBBS admission 2025 is given below-

1. All Applicants who are  born in Chhattisgarh are eligible

2. Applicants  or their parent(s) should be a resident of the Chhattisgarh for at least 5 years

3. Parent of the aspirant must be an employee to the Chhattisgarh or Central Government and must be living in the state

• Applicants whose parents or they themselves are a resident of the state must fulfill below-mentioned criteria

1. Applicants must have pursued a minimum of three years of their education from an school located in the state or in undivided Madhya Pradesh

2. Those Applicants who have not passed their class 8 from the state must appear in PSU of the same and must complete graduation from the state

3. In addition to this all those candidates are also eligible for Chhattisgarh MBBS 2025 admission who have done their Class 11 and 12 from a state recognized University or Board

4. All those applicants who have studied until Class 5 from Chhattisgarh state another important criteria is to qualify  NEET UG 2025 exam  to get a MBBS or BDS seat in Chhattisgarh.
