Delhi MBBS & BDS Admission 2026 – Overview
Delhi MBBS & BDS admission 2026 is based on the NEET UG examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET UG 2026 is expected to be conducted in the first week of May, tentatively on 3rd May 2026 (Sunday).
After the declaration of NEET UG results:

State quota and private college seats are filled through the respective state counselling authority
Under state counselling, both government and private colleges are included. Under AIQ counselling, government medical colleges, deemed universities, AIIMS, and central universities are covered.
NEET UG 2026 Registration Update
NEET UG 2026 application and registration is expected to begin from 5th February 2026, and the tentative last date for Delhi State registration process is started for MBBS ,BDS , AYUSH , B.Sc. (Nursing) and Bio Technology is started from January 16 ,2026 and last date for the same is February 16 ,2026.

MBBS & BDS Admission Sequence in India
The admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in India follows a uniform national sequence based on the NEET UG examination. The same sequence applies to Delhi MBBS & BDS Admission 2026, with state-specific counselling conducted separately.

Delhi MBBS BDS Merit List 2026
KEA, Bangalore will publish two Delhi MBBS 2026 merit lists, out of which one is provisional and other is final merit list. The first Delhi MBBS merit list 2026 will be published tentatively in the month of June/July, 2026. The provisional merit list for Delhi MBBS BDS 2026 admission will have names of successfully registered applicants. Whereas the final merit list includes the name of applicants who have successfully verified their documents and have received the security key.
On the basis of NEET UG 2026 scores Delhi MBBS merit list will be released. The Delhi MBBS admission 2026 includes the name of aspirants, Roll no. of NEET UG, application no., AIR, and NEET UG 2026 score.
By using their security key aspirant can log in to KEA portal and will be required to participate in the counselling process of Delhi MBBS BDS admission. Aspirants are advised to make his/her choices as per their NEET UG score and category for Delhi MBBS 2026 admissions.
As per the choices the applicants have submitted and the availability of seats for Delhi MBBS admission 2026 the authority will allot the seat. After the process of seats allotment process , the successful applicants will have to report at their allotted colleges.

Delhi MBBS Admission counselling 2025 | Delhi MBBS cut off 2024
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct admission to DU MBBS BDS 2025 to the colleges associated to University of Delhi (DU). DU NEET admission 2025 will be done for admission to 660 MBBS and 40 BDS seats offered by 03 medical and 01 dental college. For DU MBBS BDS 2025 admissions, the candidate must qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate – NEET UG entrance exam 2025 as mentioned. DU MBBS admission 2025 will be done for both 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 85% state quota seats.
The admission form of Delhi University MBBS BDS 2025 will be published by MCC. While filling Delhi University MBBS application form 2025, candidate have to enter his/her personal, academic, NEET UG 2025, contact number, mail-id and other details. In addition to this ,he/she have to enter his/her choices of colleges , in which they want to take admission. On the basis of choices entered, no. of seats available, NEET UG result 2025, seats reservation and other parameters, Delhi University MBBS BDS 2025 admission will be given.

New Medical college in Delhi in 2024
Good news is that , one new medical college is proposed this year in UT. Here is list of all medical colleges through out India which have applied for MBBS admission approval from 2024-25 session.
As per latest information from officail website of NMC , there are medical colleges with 117975 MBBS seats in India as of now (January 22, 2025) .If we compare with last year data this year there will be 15000 more MBBS seats.

As per latest notification on official website of NMC, 112 medical colleges are proposed this year (2024-25 session), out of these 50 are Govt medical colleges and remaining 62 are private/deemed medical colleges.

List of newly added medical colleges in 2024 [proposed]
Last year 53 new medical colleges gets approval for MBBS admission for session 2023-24. Out of these 53 new medical colleges 31(Thirty one) were Government and 22 (Twenty Two) were deemed/private medical colleges.
If we check state wise new medical colleges ,highest 12 (Twelve) were in Telangana ,05 (five) each in Rajasthan ,Andhra Pradesh ,amp; Maharashtra ,04 (Four ) in Gujarat ,03 (Three) each in Assam, Haryana ,Karnataka , Tamil Nadu , 02 (Two) in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha , J & K and 01 (one) each in Uttar Pradesh ,amp; Nagaland .
As of now, as per official website of NMC ( January 22,2025) there are 779 medical colleges in India . Out of these 779 medical colleges there are 431 Govt./Semi Govt. , AIIMS ,amp; Central Universities/ Instituitions , 55 are deemed Universities and remaining 293 are private medical colleges in various states/UT’s of India. If we talked about number of MBBS seats ,till now there are 117975 MBBS seats (60460 in Govt. /Semi Govt. Instituitions and 57515 in private/Deemed medical colleges across India.
If we go through the official website data we find that 8420 MBBS seats are already updated on official website of NMC for coming session .

Medical colleges under Delhi University MBBS seat allotment 2024 for first round will be published in with All India counselling Round 1 which is expected in the end of June,2024.
Medical aspirants can get an idea about minimum marks required to get admission in Govt./private college of the state by looking at the previous years of cut off . As you know admission in Govt. medical college can be taken either through all India Quota and state quota .Here we are giving details of year 2024 .
MBBS seats in India
As per latest information , at the time of 2024-25 counselling there will be more than 725 medical colleges with 125000 MBBS seats*( expected) in India .If we compare with last year data this year there will be 12000 more MBBS seats.
Last year 53 new medical colleges gets approval for MBBS admission for session 2023-24. Out of these 53 new medical colleges 31(Thirty one) were Government and 22 (Twenty Two) were deemed/private medical colleges.
If we check state wise new medical colleges ,highest 12 (Twelve) were in Telangana ,05 (five) each in Rajasthan ,Andhra Pradesh , Maharashtra ,04 (Four ) in Gujarat ,03 (Three) each in Assam, Haryana ,Karnataka , Tamil Nadu , 02 (Two) in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha , J, K and 01 (one) each in Uttar Pradesh , Nagaland .
As of now, as per official website of NMC ( February 11,2024) there are 706 medical colleges in India . Out of these 706 medical colleges there are 389 Govt./Semi Govt. , AIIMS , Central Universities/ Instituitions , 52 are deemed Universities and remaining 265 are private medical colleges in various states/UT’s of India. If we talked about number of MBBS seats ,till now there are 109015 MBBS seats (56268 in Govt. /Semi Govt. Instituitions , 51880 in private/Deemed medical colleges across India).

Ans: No, NRI quota is not there for MBBS course in private medical colleges of Delhi.
What is the eligibility criteria to get admission in MBBS and BDS course of Delhi?
Ans: Delhi is not an open state, so other state/UT applicants are not allowed to participate in counselling against the seats reserved for Delhi domicile candidates.
Is there any private or deemed medical college for MBBS Admission in Delhi ?
