Himachal Pradesh PG medical Admission counselling 2023
Today we will discuss about Himachal Pradesh PG medical Admission counselling 2023. Read this article till end to know the complete details like MD MS Post MBBS DNB PG diploma seats, fee structure,last year cut off marks (category wise minimum marks required to get admission) and key dates. As far as counselling process and admission of Himachal Pradesh PG medical is concerned ,it may start in the month of April ,2023.
Himachal Pradesh PG medical Admission counselling 2023
Department of Medical Education and Research , Shimla is the competent authority which is responsible to conduct Himachal Pradesh PG medical 2023 admission. DMER will start the process of Himachal PG medical admission 2023 from April with the release of the online/offline application form. Only those candidates who qualify the NEET PG 2023 can receive/apply the application form and prospectus from Office of the Principal, IGMC, Shimla,Cost of application form is Rs. 1500/- for unreserved category students and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST candidates.
DMER have announced key dates related to counselling and admission. After submission of application form by the applicants , the counselling body will publish a combined merit list . Only those aspirants whose name displayed on the Himachal Pradesh PG merit list 2023 will be eligible to do counselling which will begin in April/May ,2023. and can take admission.
In order to get admission to Himachal Pradesh PG medical 2023, students must qualify NEET PG 2023 exam. This year exam is scheduled on March 5, 2023. Online result of NEET PG 2023 is expected by March End,2023 .
There are total 232 PG seats which are to be filled through Himachal Pradesh PG medical admission.
Re-opening of NEET PG 2023 Registration Window
According to latest notification of February 7,2023, all desirous candidates who are completing their internship during July 1,2023 to August 11,2023 can apply for NEET PG 2023 from February 9 ( 3 pm onwords) to February 12,2023 (till 11:55 pm).Edit window for all such candidates will be opened on February 15,2023.
Correction window for all above candidates will be opened from February 18 to February 20,2023.
NEET PG 2023 correction Edit Window
Only those Candidates who have successfully deposyed his/her payment for the application form during Application Submission window will be allowed to edit their applications form during 30th January 2023 to 3 February 2023.
Kindly note,no new application can be registered or payment can be made during correction/edit window. However, the balance fee (if required) in case of change in candidate category and/or PwD status can be paid during the edit window. Any information/document can be changed/corrected during the edit window except of Name, Exam City, Nationality, Mobile Number and Email Address. Good thing is thta Information can be edited any number of times before the closure of the window.The last submitted information will be saved in records.
Final Edit Window: Deficiency related to images uploaded (photograph, Signature, Thumb Impression) shall be intimated to the concerned candidates and same can be corrected during the final edit window i.e. 14th February 2023 to 17th February 2023. No further opportunity shall be given to make corrections. Candidates are advised to submit the images in their application as per prescribed image upload guidelines. Failure to submit images as per guidelines and/or failure to rectify the images shall invite rejection of the application.

As far as NEET PG 2023 admit card is concerned ,it will be available on official website from February 27,2023.

Himachal Pradesh PG medical admission 2023 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are the domicile of Himachal Pradesh (Bonafide Himachali) or have completed MBBS from an institute located in the state.
-
students must have completed the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship
-
Candidates must be registered with State Medical Council/MCI.
-
Candidates must have qualified NEET PG 2023 by securing the cutoff percentile will be considered eligible for Himachal Pradesh PG medical admission.
-
Non-domicile candidates can also apply for private medical college.
Himachal Pradesh PG medical admission 2023 – Admission Process
To get admission in MD/MS courses in the medical colleges of HP, students have to fill the application form for Himachal Pradesh PG medical 2023 admission. The registration form along with the information brochure has been made available which can be purchased from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla from June/July ,2023 onwards. The last date to submit the Himachal Pradesh PG medical application form will be in the month of June/July, 2023.
To purchase the prospectus for Himachal Pradesh PG medical admission 2023, student will have to deposit INR 1,500 if belonging to the unreserved category while INR 1,000 for reserved category candidates. The address from where candidates can purchase the application form and information brochure is -Office of Principal,Indira Gandhi Medical College,Shimla.

HP PG medical admission 2023 – Merit list
DMER will issue the combined merit list which will bear the name of the candidates who are eligible to participate in the offline counselling process. The merit list of Himachal Pradesh PG medical 2023 will contain key information like
- candidate’s name
- father’s name
- category
- group
- date of birth,
- NEET PG 2023 score
- incentive percentage
- total marks.
The authority releases the merit list online as well as offline mode. The merit list will be displayed on the official website and it will also be posted on the notice board of Indira Gandhi Medical College.
Himachal Pradesh PG medical admission 2023- Counselling
For the PG seat allotment procedure, the committee will start the counselling of Himachal Pradesh PG medical 2023 from June/July ,2023.. If it is an offline counselling, candidates will have to report at the auditorium complex of Indira Gandhi medical college to select their preference of course (branch) and college. Total three rounds of counselling will be organized including a stray vacancy round. In order to be eligible for the seat allotment, candidates must be present in-person at the designated venue.
