Association of all private medical colleges have requested to increase fee by 15-20 % And good thing is that fees is same in all private colleges except management seat fee. It may be possible that fee is slightly higher in 2022 .Although annual fee of private medical have been increased in last year but still it is nominal in comparison of other states. If we talked about annual fee in private medical colleges of Karnataka it was around 9.94 Lakhs per annum in year 2022. What will be the fee for new session in 2022 it will be updated here after release of prospectus which is expected in the month of August/September 2022 .
One deemed medical university (Jagadguru Gangadhar Mahaswamigalu Moorusavirmath Medical College JGMMMC ) having 150 seats and one private G R medical college also having 150 MBBS seats get approval last year.
Similarly four new private medical colleges are proposed in Karnataka
- Chikkamagaluru,
- Haveri,
- Yadgir and
- Chikkabalapur
but National Medical Commission will give permission of these four medical colleges in Karnataka for session 2022-23 if they fulfill norms .During last year inspection the visiting committee found that there is lack of teaching staff, assisting staff and even infrastructure is not up to the mark.
