NEET PG Counselling 2020

All  medical PG aspirants are allowed to take  admission in 50% AIQ seats, all deemed and central universities through the counselling of NEET PG 2020.In addition to these  ESIC and AFMC institutes also offers their seats through it .Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET PG 2020 counselling in the second week of March under the guidance of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The regulatory body will conduct two rounds of NEET PG seat allotment for AIQ seats like NEET UG counselling After that if some seats remains vacant mop-up round will be organised for deemed/central universities/ESIC colleges.

This mop up round counselling is also known as Stray vacancy round counselling /College level counselling.

In order to participate for NEET PG counselling 2020, it is compulsory to qualify NEET PG 2020 exam by securing minimum qualifying percentile and corresponding marks.One more thing you must keep in mind that NEET UG as well as NEET PG score is valid for only one year.

The allotment for remaining 50% state quota seats and private universities located in a particular state will be done by the respective state counselling committees on the basis of NEET PG 2020 scores.

For participating in NEET PG 2020 counselling, qualified aspirants will have  to register themselves for each round of counselling.At the time of registration, candidates have  to enter their

NEET PG Qualifying Percentile 2020

As we know that it is compulsory to qualify the entrance test by securing NEET PG cutoff 2020 percentile as declared by the authority.

The scores equivalent to cutoff percentile will be enclosed along with NEET PG result 2020.

Only those candidates who get the minimum qualifying percentile will be allowed for counselling process and admission.

The counselling of NEET PG 2020 will be conducted for admission to the following quotas:

  1. 50% All India Quota seats

  2. 50% State Quota seats

The admission process for admission to 50% AIQ, Deemed/Central universities and ESIC institutes will start in the second week of March 2020.

As mentioned before, the counselling of NEET PG 2020 will be conducted in two rounds for All India Quota seats, while a mop-up round will be held for Deemed/Central universities and ESIC colleges.

After the completion of counselling rounds, the remaining vacant seats will be transferred to the respective state counselling authorities for admission under 50% state quota seats.

The procedure of NEET PG counselling 2020 includes registration of candidates, filling/locking of choices, declaration of the result and reporting at the allotted college/university. Candidates who will get any seats in the first round can appear for subsequent rounds of counselling.

Step-1: NEET PG 2020 counselling registration

  • For successful registration, candidates need to enter their stream (medical/dental), exam roll number, NEET PG application form number, name of candidate, date of birth, security pin and other details asked.

  • The other details related to qualification and contact must be filled for successful submission of registration.

  • Once submitting all the details, the login credentials will be displayed on the screen which must be preserved for future references.

Step-2: Filling of personal details

  • The second step in NEET PG 2020 counselling  is to provide personal details like father’s name, mother’s name, address, category, nationality and others.

  • candidates are  advised to fill the details carefully, as the details once filled cannot be edited. The personal details mentioned during NEET PG 2020 counselling registrations will be verified at the time of document verification.

Step-3: Payment for NEET PG counselling

  • The payment for NEET PG 2020 counselling must be paid by candidate in online mode only using net banking, credit/debit cards.

  • The registration fees to be paid will be non-refundable, while the counselling fees will be refundable.

  • In case of refund it will be done in the same account from where payment was done.

Step-4: Registration slip

  • After the successful payment, the registration slip will be displayed on the screen.

  • Candidates are advised to verify, download and take a printout of registration slip for further admission process.

  • Click on ‘login’ button for next step.

Step-5: Choices available

  • In the beginning of NEET PG seat allotment process, the choices of colleges and courses will be available.

  • Candidates who deposited the fees for 50% AIQ/Deemed and central universities can fill their choices under any category.

Step-6: Choice filling and locking

  • In order to fill the choices, candidates need to click on add ‘+’ button for every option.

  • Once the option is selected, it will automatically move from left-side to right-side.

  • While filling the choices, aspirants can move the sequence of their options by using up and down button. They can also drag the choices to change with others.

  • It is mandatory for candidates to remember to click on ‘save and next’ button to lock the options selected.

  • In case, if any aspirant forgets to save the options filled, it will be locked automatically and will be used for admission.

Step-7: Printout of registration

  • After the completion of registration process, candidates must not forget to take a printout of slip for future use in NEET PG counselling 2020.

  • If anyone has not locked their choices, they can take a printout when choice filling is over.

NEET PG seat allotment 2020

Based on the details filled in the registration, MCC will release the NEET PG 2020 counselling result.

The counselling authority will consider NEET PG rank, preferences filled, seats availability, reservation criteria and other factors for allotment of NEET PG 2020.

The seat allotment list will be released in online mode mentioning candidate’s All India Rank, allotted college, remarks if any (whether allotted/not allotted), course and allotted and candidate category.

Medical graduates who will be allotted a seat will be allowed to download NEET PG seat allotment letter 2020.

And report to the concerned institute.

The allotment letter will mention the name of candidate, rank, college allotted, admitted category, date and time of reporting among other details.

Documents required- for NEET PG 2020 Counselling /admission

Below mentioned  is the list of documents required for verification while reporting at the particular college.

Any candidate without any document will not be allowed to take admission.

All medical aspirants are advised to carry the originals as well as at least two set of photocopy documents at the time of NEET PG 2020 counselling.

  • NEET PG result 2020
  • Mark sheet of MBBS (1, 2 and 3 professional examination)
  • NEET PG admit card 2020
  • MBBS degree certificate or provisional certificate
  • Certificate for completion of internship from the head of the institute stating the completion of internship on or before March 31, 2020
  • Permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC)
  • High school/higher secondary certificate/date of birth for birth proof
  • One identification proof – PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport and Aadhaar card
  • SC/ST certificate, if applicable (in English or Hindi)
  • OBC certificate issued by competent authority
  • Disability certificate issued by the medical board only

NEET PG 2020 counselling Round 2

The second round of NEET PG counselling 2020 will be done in case of vacant seats left after round one. The eligibility of candidates appearing for round of counselling of NEET PG 2020 is mentioned below.

Who are eligible for NEET PG 2020 counselling second round?

  1. all Registered candidates who have not been allotted a seat in first round of counselling.

  2. medical Aspirants whose allotment get cancelled during document verification, who have secured seat under reserved quota due to change in category or PH status from Yes to No are eligible for counselling.

  3. Medical graduates who have been allotted, reported and joined the college but are willing to participate in subsequent round of counselling.

  4. Candidates who exited from round one of counselling from round one and logs in again for second round of NEET PG counselling 2020.

NEET PG counselling 2020 for 50% state quota seats

The seat allotment process of NEET PG 2020 for remaining 50% state quota seats will be conducted by respective state counselling authorities.

The admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses under 50% state government seats and all private seats will be done on the basis of scores obtained in NEET PG 2020.

Only the candidates from erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir will not be allowed to appear for 50% AIQ counselling and all the seats will be allotted by state counselling.

Every state will release their NEET PG state counselling 2020 schedule after the announcement of results by January 31, 2020.

Q 1:  NEET PG counselling be conducted in online mode or offline mode? Any Aspirant  have to visit  at the venue for counselling?


NEET PG 2020 First and second counselling will be carried in online mode.

If some seats remains vacant then Mop Up  round counselling /Stray vacancy round counselling /College level counselling will be there.

At the time of First and second counselling there is no need to visit counselling venue but during Mop Up  round counselling /Stray vacancy round counselling /College level counselling Candidates have  to report at the counselling venue with all original documents and fee.

Q 2: How many choices can I fill  NEET PG counselling 2020?

Answer: There is no limit.Candidates can fill any number of colleges as well as courses while filling the choices of NEET PG counselling 2020.

Q3 : If a candidate is not allotted in second round, will his/her seat in first round will be cancelled?

Answer: No,his /her first round seat will not be cancelled out until he/she get new allotment.
