As per latest information from official website of NMC ,  there are 824 medical colleges with 129805 MBBS seats in India . Out is these 824 medical colleges there are 454 Govt. / Govt Society and remaining 370 are private /deemed medical colleges. There are 63657 MBBS seats in Govt colleges including AIIMS , BHU , JIPMER and 66148 MBBS seats in private /deemed colleges throughout India. If we compare with last year data this year there will be 15000 more MBBS seats at the time of counselling.

NEET UG 2025 exam Schedule by NTA

Last year NEET UG 2025 was conducted on May 4 , 2025 (Sunday) and result was declared on June 14 , 2025 after that state has released merit list for MBBS BDS and other profession courses admission . In Govt. medical colleges  15% of total seats are reserved for All India Quota  and counselling for these seats are conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).  For the remaining 85 % seats of Govt. colleges and 100% seats of private medical colleges(if any) counselling will be conducted by state authority.

Andhra Pradesh MBBS BDS admission state domicile criteria

• applicants must be Local  as defined in the Presidential order.

• aspirant or one of the applicant’s parents lived in the state at least ten years excluding the period where the aspirant has studied outside the state or the parents have resided outside Andhra Pradesh.

• applicants  whose either of the parents is in the employment of the Central or State Government, Public Sector Corporation Universities, Local Bodies and other similar Public Institution within the state to be eligible for AP MBBS BDS admission 2024.

• The candidate whose spouse is in the employment of the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies Universities and educational institutions recognized by the Government or a University or Other competent authority of the state.

• Note : other states  non domicile candidates are also allowed to take part in counselling and take admission against management quota ( B category seats) or NRI quota seats( C Category).

NRI Documents Required for MBBS Admission

The following conditions are required to be met by the candidates applying for change of their category (Indian/Others to NRI):-

• 1) Documents claiming that the person who is going to sponsor is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer) 2) Relationship of NRI with the candidate as per the court orders of The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in case W.P.(c) No. 689/2017 (CODEUNIK) , Ans. Vs Union of 3) Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarized. 4) Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate) 5) Valid NEET UG Score Card of the candidate.

Applicants have to submit following documents at the time of admission in MBBS BDS 2026. All the documents that are necessary are mentioned below. Students must have 4-5 set of self-attested photocopy.

• Class 10+2 or equivalent passing certificate

• Class 10+2 mark sheet

• Class 10+1 mark sheet

• Class 10 passing certificate

• Class 10 mark sheet

• Migration Certoficate

•  NEET UG admit card 2026

• Copy of online MBBS application form 2026

• Date of Birth certificate

• Character certificate

• Identity proofs (Driving License/PAN Card/ Voter ID Card/ Passport)

• Caste certificate provided by a competent authority(if applicable)

• Certificate of Permanent residence

• 08 (Eight) Passport size photographs

• Certificate of physical disability, (if applicable))
