DNB Admission counselling 2024: From last there is a common counselling for all MD/MS and DNB seats and it will be conducted by MCC. In today’s post we are going to share all the information about DNB counselling , admission process .

There are some important factors that make you eligible for counselling of DNB. For the easiness of applicants, some of them are given here:

NEET PG 2024 must be qualified

There will be fresh registration in 1st Round, second and mop-up round but there will be no fresh registration in stray vacancy round of counselling like MS MD admission conducted by MCC.

any applicant who is doing MD/MS have to resign from the existing course to take part in counselling
-
any applicant who left the DNB seat/course will not be able to take part in DNB counselling for the next three years.

DNB counselling , admission – Registration process
All Eligible applicants must read the complete article till the end to do counselling for DNB. This registration can be done in online mode.
Step 1 – Registration
First of all, create a password to register. The login credentials thereafter will be the password created and NEET PG registered email ID/roll number
Step 2 – Login
After successful registration, applicants are supposed to login using these credentials. Then OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number and NEET PG registered mail ID and phone number.
Step 3 – Deposition of DNB counselling fee
You can proceed further only by depositing the counselling fee . This fee can be paid by using a debit card/credit card or net banking.
Step 4 – Uploading of documents
There is no need to upload any document at the time of online registration but you are advised to keep a soft copy of all your documents.
Step 5 – Choice filling
After successful registration applicants are can go for choice filling. For filling the choices applicants have to select the state, then hospital, followed by specialty and then add choice.
Applicants can also change their choices and remove them by moving the arrow upward/downward and remove button respectively.
Step 6 – Choice Locking
The last step of registration for DNB counselling can be done by clicking the button ‘Lock Choices ’. In this step, applicants can add and remove choices as many times as they want until they lock their choices.
How to Apply for DNB Admission , Counselling?
DNB Admission – MCC is conducting DNB Admission from last three years. MCC will released a notice on its official website regarding the counselling schedule. There were around 2800 seats in DNB which will be filled on the basis of NEET PG score, which is expected by March 31.
As you know every aspirant have to qualify for the NEET PG 2024 to take part in DNB Admission counselling. This counselling will be in online mode for admission to around 650 hospitals across India.

These hospitals are Govt., Semi Govt., public and private. There will be a total of four rounds of counselling for admission in 2024. All Round of counselling will be in online mode and conducted by MCC .
Choice filling for the first round of DNB 2024 counselling will start in the month of April,2024 . After successful registration provisional allotment was released.

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria as given below will be allowed to participate in the various online rounds of DNB counselling . The entrance examination of NEET PG will be the basis for admission to the course nationwide. NBE have scheduled NEET-PG 2024 on March 3, 2024. DNB counselling , admission- Seat allotment process
In this article we are explaining the seat allotment process for each round of counselling of DNB is given here.
DNB counselling , admission procedure – Round 1
Only those candidates will be allowed to take part in counselling who have successfully registered themselves for DNB CET counselling. The process for round 1 is given in the points below:

You are free to fill as many choices as many you want. However, you must note that selecting a college, during the choice filling process of DNB, choose only those hospitals where you can join
-
Applicants will be allowed to select their branch also.

In case applicants do not lock their choices filled for DNB counselling , then after the due date, it will be locked automatically but still it is better to lock your choices and take printout well before the last date
-
Only those applicants who have done registration successfully will be allowed to participate in DNB counselling process
-
DNB seats will be allotted on the basis of their NEET PG score and choice of hospitals entered by the applicants. The DNB seat allocation process will be done online.

Good thing is that the DNB course fee is fixed and the same ( Rs 1,25,000) per annum for all types of hospitals
- If you want to upgrade your seat alootted in Round 1 then you can participate in the second round of counselling
DNB counselling , admission – 2nd Round

After successful completion of the first round of counselling MCC will start the second round of counselling.

This round of counselling is useful for upgrading your seat if the seat remains vacant.

new registration are generally allowed in second round of counselling , same rule will be applicable as of MD/MS

your existing choices which were filled during the first round of counselling will be null and void and you have to do fresh choice filling for Round 2
- Admission will be confirmed only after deposition of the full one-year course fee
- Similarly, for applicants who pay the fee but do not report to the allotted hospital, their admission will be cancelled automatically
- If you once joined your allotted seat alootted in Round 1 then you participate in the next round of counselling but you have to inform your college at the time of admission
DNB counselling , admission – 3rd Round or Mop-up Round
All the processes for the third round of counselling of DNB CET will be the same as above.
Such candidates will have to report to the allotted college with the allotment letter and original documents for verification. The authorities at the allotted institute will verify the documents and eligibility of candidates as per the guidelines set by NBE.

Generally, stray vacancy round is conducted online.

Although DNB course is equivalent to MD u0026, MS.Good thing is that in DNB fee is same in All Institutes/Hospitals and very nominal.For session this fee is Rs 1.25 Lakhs per annum whereas MD/MS course fee is very much higher in private medical colleges.More over there is more practical exposure to DNB candidates.
