NEET UG 2024 – National Testing Agency (NTA) have scheduled National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) exam on May 5, 2024 (Sunday) and result will be declared in end of  month May ,2024 .This exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode.

There were  about 20.87 lakhs applicants registered  for NEET UG 2023 exam for admission to 1089013 MBBS, 26,849 BDS, 52,520 AYUSH and BVSc , AH offered in various types of medical colleges of India.

As per latest information , at the time of 2024-25 counselling there will be around 818 medical colleges with 123445 MBBS seats*( expected) in India .If we compare with last year data this year there will be 15000 more MBBS seats.

112 New Medical colleges in India 2024

As per latest notification on official website of NMC, 112 medical colleges are proposed this year (2024-25 session), out of these 50 are Govt medical colleges and remaining 62 are private/deemed medical colleges.

List of newly added medical colleges in 2024 [proposed]

Last year 53 new medical colleges gets approval for MBBS admission for session 2023-24. Out of these 53 new medical colleges 31(Thirty one) were Government and 22 (Twenty Two) were deemed/private medical colleges.

If we check state wise new medical colleges ,highest 12 (Twelve) were in Telangana ,05 (five) each in Rajasthan ,Andhra Pradesh ,amp; Maharashtra ,04 (Four ) in Gujarat ,03 (Three) each in Assam, Haryana ,Karnataka , Tamil Nadu , 02 (Two) in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha , J,amp; K  and 01 (one) each in Uttar Pradesh ,amp; Nagaland .

As of now, as per official website of NMC ( March 21,2024) there are 706 medical colleges in India . Out of these 706 medical colleges there are 389 Govt./Semi Govt. , AIIMS ,amp; Central Universities/ Instituitions , 52 are deemed Universities and remaining 265 are private medical colleges in various states/UT’s of India. If we talked about number of MBBS seats ,till now there are 109145 MBBS seats (57330 in Govt. /Semi Govt. Instituitions and 51815 in private/Deemed medical colleges across India.

We have divided NEET UG 2024 Score in four categories:

Students getting 610+ in NEET UG 2024

All those students who are expecting secure 610+ marks in NEET  UG 2024 are having chances in Government and semi Government medical colleges in their respective states as well as they can go for 15 % all India quota.

If we talked about fee, it may ranges from from state to state  (6k to 1.75 Lakhs per annum).

Students getting 580+ and up to 610

Medical aspirants who are expecting secure 580+marks in NEET UG 2024 are having chances to get admission in state Government medical colleges if they belongs to below mentioned states:

• Madhya Pradesh
• West Bengal
• Maharashtra
• Himachal Pradesh

Other state candidates are having chances in good deemed universities and private medical colleges with low fee .

Students getting 500+ and up to 550

Medical aspirants who are expecting secure 500+marks in NEET UG 2024 are having chances in good deemed universities and private medical colleges with low fee .These students can go for low budget colleges in open states like

• Kerala
• Chhattisgarh
• Karnataka
• Uttar Pradesh
• Telangana
• Andhra Pradesh
• Haryana

Students getting 350+ and up to 500

Medical aspirants who are expecting secure 350+marks in NEET UG 2024 are having chances in good deemed universities and private medical colleges but fee will be higher than students having score more than 450.If we talked about fee in Private colleges or deemed universities it may vary  between 12 Lakhs per annum to 27 Lakhs per annum.

Just qualified  NEET UG 2024 Candidates

All those students who just qualify NEET UG 2024 but secure less than 200 can try for management quota .Management seats are variable in lots of good medical colleges.

If we talked about fee in Private colleges it varioes from 15 Lakhs per annum to 28 Lakhs per annum. As far as fees of  deemed universities are concerned it rangesfrom 10 Lakhs per annum to 27 Lakhs per annum.
